Our daughter Heather lost her best fur-friend on Sunday, March 2, 2008.  If there was ever a pit bull that could change the stereotype for the breed, it was Bear! She was smart, sweet, obedient, LOVED to play fetch and was an A-1 water dog!

A tragic accident, little Bear found a way out of the yard at Heather's (aka Grandma's) house. A 3 hour search (just missing Bear by minutes when we asked people if they saw her!) ended as the sun faded to darkness on the busiest road in our small town.

Bear went to Rainbow Bridge, to play ball with our little Joey, and my sister's (Pam) Springer Spaniel, Nala. I can see my wonderful friend and assistant with Norcal Golden Retriever Rescue -- Michele Antenore (she died from influenza Feb 27, 2008) playing with all the fur-kids in the sunlight...
